Trip governance platform
One governed system for risk assessment, parental consent, staffing, and departure readiness — built by people who used to manage all of this on spreadsheets, not by engineers who've never seen a risk assessment register.
The Tuesday before departure
A spreadsheet for consent. Another for risk. A folder of phone-camera passport photos. A message thread chasing six different sign-offs, the night before a flight.
SchoolTripper replaces all of it with one register — one place where every requirement, financial, safeguarding, and educational, is tracked, signed off, and auditable.
What it actually does
A trip moves through defined stages from Draft to Closed, with the right role required to approve at each one. Coordinators propose; Bursars and Heads approve. Nothing skips the queue.
Every trip carries an ISO 31031-aligned risk assessment, scored across staffing, documentation, sign-off, and emergency planning — recalculated as things change, not filled in once and forgotten.
Parents respond through a secure, one-time-code-verified link. No open forms, no guessing whether the reply actually came from the right parent.
A single readiness score shows exactly what's outstanding before a trip can depart — and exactly who needs to act on it, today.
If something happens on a trip, it's logged, escalated, and tracked through to resolution — including a defined path to Foreign Office risk review where it's needed.
Every decision — every sign-off, every override, every status change — is written to an audit log that's append-only by design.
Why we built this
SchoolTripper wasn't designed by studying the trip-planning market from the outside. It was built by people who've sat in the Bursar's office the week before half-term, signing off a risk assessment for a coach trip and a flight to Madrid in the same afternoon — and got tired of doing it across four spreadsheets and a shared drive nobody could ever find anything in.
The actual lifecycle
Data protection
Every record lives on EU infrastructure, not wherever happens to be cheapest that quarter.
A Coordinator sees what a Coordinator needs. A Bursar sees what a Bursar needs. Enforced at the database, not just hidden in the interface.
Sensitive medical and travel information is only ever submitted by a parent verified via a one-time code sent to their own registered email.
Every governance decision is logged permanently. Nothing can be quietly edited or deleted after the fact.
